Offcampuz Community Guidelines

Offcampuz is built for real college communities. These Community Guidelines are the rules everyone agrees to follow so the platform stays useful, safe, and welcoming. They are part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can lead to content removal, feature limits, suspension, or account termination as described in our Content & Moderation Policy.
These rules apply to everything on Offcampuz — posts, polls, comments, reactions, events, community experiences, messages, usernames, and profiles — including content you post anonymously.
Anonymous, but accountable
You can post anonymously to other users. That hides your identity from other members — it does not make you untraceable, and it is not a free pass. Offcampuz may retain account, device, network, and activity information for safety, security, fraud prevention, moderation, legal compliance, and law enforcement requests. If you use anonymity to harass, threaten, or break the law, we can act on your account and, when appropriate, cooperate with law enforcement.
The rules
1. Don't harass, bully, or threaten people
No targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or intimidation. Don't make threats of violence, encourage others to harm someone, or organize pile-ons against a person. Repeatedly contacting or targeting someone who doesn't want to hear from you is harassment.
2. No hate speech
Don't attack, dehumanize, demean, or promote hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease. Slurs and hateful imagery used to attack people aren't allowed.
3. No doxxing or sharing private information
Don't post or threaten to post private or identifying information about someone without their consent — including real names tied to anonymous accounts, home or dorm addresses, phone numbers, schedules, financial or medical information, or private images. Don't try to unmask other users.
4. Protect people in crisis — no promotion of self-harm or suicide
Don't encourage, promote, or provide instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. It's okay to talk about your own struggles and to seek support. If you or someone you know may be in danger, please use the resources in our Safety Center or contact local emergency services.
5. No sexual exploitation or illegal sexual content
We have zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes minors. Don't share child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors, or attempts to groom or solicit minors — ever. Don't share non-consensual intimate images ("revenge porn") or threaten to share them. Don't engage in sextortion. We remove such content and report it to the appropriate authorities as required by law (including under the POCSO Act and the IT Act in India).
6. Keep sexual content appropriate
Don't post pornographic or sexually explicit content, or use Offcampuz to solicit sexual services.
7. Don't impersonate others
Don't pretend to be another person, a brand, an organization, or an Offcampuz staff member, or misrepresent your school affiliation. Parody must be clearly labeled and must not deceive.
8. No fraud, scams, or illegal activity
Don't use Offcampuz to defraud or deceive people, run scams or phishing, sell or facilitate illegal or regulated goods (such as drugs, weapons, or stolen items), or promote other illegal activity.
9. No spam or platform manipulation
Don't spam, post repetitive or unsolicited promotional content, or manipulate the platform — including fake accounts, bots, vote/poll manipulation, coordinated inauthentic behavior, artificial amplification, or buying/selling accounts or engagement.
10. No violent or dangerous content
Don't post graphic violence to shock or glorify it, praise or support violent or terrorist organizations, or share instructions for weapons or other activities meant to cause serious harm.
11. Respect intellectual property
Only post content you have the right to share. Don't infringe others' copyrights, trademarks, or other rights. See our Copyright Policy.
12. Don't break the Service
Don't hack, scrape without permission, distribute malware, probe our security, evade bans, or otherwise interfere with how Offcampuz works or with other people's use of it.
13. Keep it lawful and follow local laws
Don't post content that is illegal where you live or where Offcampuz operates, and don't use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Reporting and what happens next
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it using the in-app report tools or contact support@offcampuz.com. You can also block users to stop interacting with them. Reports are confidential.
We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce these rules. Depending on the severity and history, we may remove content, add labels or limits, reduce a post's reach, suspend features, or suspend or terminate accounts. Serious violations (like CSAM or credible threats of violence) can result in immediate removal and reporting to authorities. We may update these Guidelines
We'll update these Guidelines as the community and the law evolve. Continued use of Offcampuz means you agree to the current version.
